TWO PHASES
Aura of hope engulfs me
At last am rescued
Free of my pain
Relieved of my fear
I shut it all out
The pitch darkness
cowardice and
self esteem that's no more
concealing my inner strength.
I let the beast rob me
without a fight
I transform into his door-mat
Suffer memory lapse
For my worth
cease to cross my mind
Day breaks; sun shines
Butin my world:
whips of wind and rain
sting my skin
chilled bones and numb feet
never let me make steps
Crouched in my corner
I shut my eyes
And I sail
Far away...
Back to my reverie
Where freedom is a norm
independence my trait
and smiles my daily attire
scowling is a dream
so far just like the present
that i don't want to awaken

I Carry Your Heart

SHATTERED
A second self I found
Bubbling with laughter
our eyes shone with smiles
As we walked hand in hand
A strong bond formed
I believed in us
Till
our palms deluged with sweat
Slippery they became
Efforts to hold on turned fruitless
Letting go
our love slipped too
All we had built crumbled
Our dreams, us
Bliss turned to tears
Weakened by pain
We couldn't salvage it
Hearts wrinkled
We watched
As a wall separated us
Apart we drifted
turned our backs
Afraid of the others suffering
Pieces scattered
you walked right and left I did
praying to bump into another
That would help pick them
Though killing us
Farewell we bid.

Tasty Treats
Maria’s moans fill the room. She grabs the back of Nathan’s head and pulls it closer to her pelvis, lifting her hips from the damp sheets. Nathan becomes ravenous. Nibbling and lapping uncontrollably. Maria’s mind tries to follow every touch. Record every sensation. Her legs spring open and Nathan’s fingers join his tongue; finding their way inside Maria. Her hands tug at the bed sheets, and her cries pierce the air.
Nathan raises his head. He gently kisses the inside of Maria’s moist thighs. He climbs atop her and their eyes meet. Briefly, they smile at each other and share a kiss.
Transfixed upon Maria’s brown eyes, Nathan aligns his body with hers. She opens her legs wider to receive him. He pushes deeper inside Maria. Mouth agape, she wants to scream, but there is no sound. Nathan slides his sweet tongue into her mouth and sucks her upper lip.
Methodically, his hips rise and fall while his kisses become more aggressive. Sound returns. Maria screams. In stride with Nathan’s rhythm, she begs him not to stop. Nathan releases a low growl. A spastic wave consumes Maria’s body. Nathan grinds his pelvis and kisses her neck. Maria wraps Nathan in her embrace and he groans loudly.
Soon silence befalls the room. Without raising his head, Nathan calls, “Maria?”
“Yes?” she answers as strokes his hair.
“I love you and ... you know what else I love?”
“Blueberry pancakes?”
“With maple syrup!" he says excitedly. "I love your pancakes. Would you mind making a few? I’ll scramble the eggs.”
“Nathan, you can have whatever you want.” Maria slaps his butt. “What-ever you want.”
Nathan laughs loudly. “May be the pancakes can wait for now. I want another taste of you.”

Who Knew
Who knew that the heart,
could feel like a separate
entity, away from the body
Who knew that my heart,
could feel so stricken,
So in pain, and so dejected
all because of you
Who knew that my
heart could feel so
much ache at the
thought, of hurting you
Who knew that my heart
is so attached to you that,
hurting you could affect it
in such a way, it feels
alien even to me.
Who knew that my heart
would betray me, to fill my
chest with so much pain and
pull my head down so low,
to call out the tears I didn't
notice until too late
Who knew that hurting you
could shatter a heart that once
was mine, but now, belong to you
