UNEXPECTED BLISS

"just once please
it won't hurt"
he says
with smoldering eyes
closer and closer
he moves

a novice i am
scared
tight lipped,we merge
gasping
comes invasion
goaded into response
excitement floods me

never felt much butterflies
quivering stomach
a shot of warmth in my mid riff
an explosion of sensation
a thirst craving to be quenched
more tightly i hold

fear forgotten
it's just us
closer to heaven
i can feel
yes!
i can see the stars, moon
beautiful
blissful
at last in my hands-
a taste of heaven

unexpected bliss.

  1. Well, hot damn! What a way to begin my morning! : )

Provocative and racy in content; skilled and dignified in composition. Your earlier writings are hints of your strength as a writer, but this poem soldifies your presence as a poet. Great work, Liz.
